Neelam

FROM WOMAN TO WOMEN

In conversation Neelam did with Vogue Arabia she said “It was Henri, my husband of eight years, who saw my inner light. He told me I had talent. I didn’t know what he was talking about.” He has always supported her evolution. “I remember it was March 27, Muslim Women’s Day, and I was going through the hashtag on social media. What I saw inspired me. When I told my husband that I was thinking about wearing the hijab, dressing modestly, and seeing if I can use my social media to inspire other women, he told me to do it. I’m a believer in doing something because you want to. Hijab should be a choice.”

She really is an influencer in a real strength of that word. Wife, mother, rapper and style icon shows that rapping about political and social situation in women’s world can be empowering and very influential. Neelam is definitely an inspiration not only to all of us here at Paraiso Miami Beach but to all our friends and people we admire. It’s sometimes hard to speak out to the World. But boundaries shouldn’t exist because there is so much to be said and people need encouragement more then we think…One sentence can give strength to the women who need help, not to talk about the whole activistic approach to influencing.

Neelam’s style on the other side is something we can not miss. The fusion of religion, music and the highest elegance never looked better. Fashion is something that speaks out of Neelam and we love every stitch and drape of it.

“Liberation is not putting yourself out there for people to validate you. Liberation is a personal decision you make to yourself, where you can look at yourself in the mirror and be pleased with yourself the way you are.”
