Spinali Design is positioning the company as a key player for life in the digital age.

Our products equipped with sensors, sunscreen, software and e-cards, are shaping the world of tomorrow, says Marie Spinali, CEO of Spinali Design. Neviano's swimsuits boast a stylish aesthetic and high-tech functionality made possible by the integration of a UV sensor. This sensor, which is about half the size of an adult's thumb, is waterproof and connects to the wearer's iOS or Android device to send alerts when UV levels are high and more sunscreen should be applied. The Neviano smartphone app takes into account the potential different skin tones of its users and alerts can be customized to be sent to a friend or partner to pass your sunscreen responsibility onto them instead.

"The sun is an integral part of our lives, boosting happy hormone levels, and vitamin D, but it also has its negative effects," says Sophia Hutchins, Founder, and CEO. "Reapplication is so essential but it's the part that falls off. lumasol solves this to protect people and encourage protected sun exposure. While time outside these days is limited, we're still exposed to sunlight indoors, so it's important to keep a robust suncare routine.”

LUMASOL, a new health tech player in the skincare industry, changing the summer game.

This broad-spectrum SPF 50 mist offers a lightweight and fast-absorbing broad-spectrum sunscreen allowing for all-day protection. In a compact, sleek "engine" bottle, Lumasol's proprietary engine and wristband change colors when exposed to UV light, nudging consumers to reapply per the FDA recommended two-hour timeframe. The Lumasol starter kit includes: one reusable color-changing engine, three glass 10 mL vials of translucent SPF 50 formula, lanyard, and color-changing wristband. Sophia Hutchins, the visionary entrepreneur, founded the Silicon Valley venture backed company to help protect people from the sun due to two major challenges with sun exposure. Health-conscious people put on SPF in the morning but then forget to reapply. Last year, 40% of Americans reported getting a sunburn. Five or more sunburns doubles the risk of melanoma. Lumasol's unique, translucent, and cruelty-free formula helps prevent sun-related disease and aging. Most importantly, it reminds people to reapply and makes reapplication simple. Lumasol is water-resistant for 80 minutes and non-greasy to prevent unfriendly breakouts.

Health-conscious people put on SPF in the morning but then forget to reapply. And, those who wear makeup often don't reapply SPF over makeup. Lumasol solves each of these issues so people can safely enjoy more time outdoors. Last year, 40% of Americans reported getting a sunburn. Five or more sunburns doubles the risk of melanoma. The future belongs to biomaterials. The Chemarts, a cookbook that allows people to create their own wood-based materials..

The Aalto university has introduced the CHEMARTS cookbook, a project that offers both simple and advanced recipes for hands-on experiments that allows people to create their own wood-based materials. Combining design methods and chemical engineering, the CHEMARTS team aims to inspire people to test the recipes at home, in workshops or in chemistry labs and develop their own ideas. CHEMARTS is a long-term strategic collaboration between two Aalto University schools, The School of Chemical Engineering (CHEM) and The School of Arts, Design and Architecture (ARTS). The schools merged their forces with the aim to invent new ways to harness wood and cellulose. The idea is to research the performance and design of advanced cellulosic materials for innovative uses.
The main objective is to inspire to explore biomaterials together and to create new concepts for the future use of cellulose and other biomaterials.
